The Cornerstone MTL Communications Library (ComLib) provides the software connection between a computer running Cornerstone Base Station or Cornerstone Configurator software and networks of HART instruments connected to the MTL HART Maintenance System from Measurement Technology Limited (MTL).  The supported MTL HART equipment models are the MTL 4840 and the MTL 8000.

Communicate with permanently attached HART instruments, regardless of their location in your facility, even in intrinsically safe locations.  Remotely configure, diagnose, trim, maintain, and document your HART smart instrumentation.

With the optional Cornerstone Instrument Status Monitor, the MTL ComLib automates plant-wide scanning and status monitoring of all attached HART instruments.  Any configuration changes, including those made in the field, are detected and recorded.  An “auto-learn” feature searches the network for all attached instruments and automatically creates the Cornerstone instrument database.

Use this maintenance system to achieve dramatic labor savings by eliminating unnecessary trips to the plant floor, and by automating record keeping activities.
